Discussion Questions for Walter Benjamin's "The Work of Art in the Age of Mechanical Reproduction":
1. Since the Middle Ages, reproducing man-made art has become an art form in itself, but when are there limitations to recreating the work of others, and due to the nature of these copies, are these recreations to be deemed as works of art as well?
2. Over time art works have progressed from pottery to film, and still artists try for new forms. Should we set expectations for advancements? Does art have rules or expectations, or is it just free expression?
